When we got into the Commercial Roof Coatings space 9 years ago there were virtually no other commercial roofing companies in Omaha that offered coatings.

Now it seems like more and more industrial roofers are entering this space. While some may think this hurts us, we see this as an opportunity to help us in the following ways:

• Validating roof coatings and their viability
• Incentivization for increased innovation
• Increasing awareness of roof coatings

But here’s why we suspect more commercial roofing contractors in Omaha are getting in the coating space (and part of our original motivation for entering it originally):

Cost Effectiveness for Roofing Clients

In many cases, a roof coating is a suitable and effective solution for roof leaks that don’t require a complete replacement. Coatings can be properly layered on top of a roof to prolong the life and stop leaks for up to 20 years.

Versatility and Ease of Application

There are several types of roof coatings on the market today with increasing quality in the last few years. As such, there are roof coatings for every type of roofing surface including Metal, Flat, BUR, EPDM, Single Ply, and much more. (Pretty much everything except shingles). Additionally, it is significantly quicker turnaround time to apply roof coatings and requires no roofing permit!

Minimal Disruption

Unlike a roof replacement that is loud and disruptive, roof coating applications have minimal disruption and do not obstruct business operations. Additionally, since there’s no tear-off there won’t be much in the way of roofing disposal, debris, or mess.
